Dinosaurolophus

After coming out of something like Art Fight (congrats Team Nightmare!) and the Five Month Improvement Challenge, I'm always ready for the next thing.  But in my rather uneventful calendar... the only other things are Inktober (which I always end up without a plan) and the 48 Hour Global Game Jam at the end of January/start of February (which I may not be able to attend due to work hours and holidays).  I never did pick up one Huevember, and I'm not a strong story writer (so NaNoWriMo is out of the park).  But WHAT IF three (or four) months were combined to make a larger project?  Another Improvement Challenge, or rather, a PRODUCTION CHALLENGE.

Pitchtember- a month dedicated to scriptwriting and sketching thumbnails.  Only plan for what you can accomplish next month.
Inktober-a month dedicated to inking pages,
Huevember- a month dedicated to colouring those pages, and
Digicember- a month dedicated to final cleanup, SFX, posting stuff, a cool-down, and planning for the next thing?

It looks good on paper.  It really does.  help.

If you could dedicate each month of the year to one specific challenge, what would it be?
Do yo find that challenges are better taken with friends and other artists, or do you like solo challenges?

A Factoid Journal!  Tagged by Impious-Imp   This is eight random facts about Nadine/ Panthera.  Read the first few pages here:
 

1. Nadine is an only child.  Her dad made it his personal mission to expose Owen Malthus in some way, but disappeared along the way.  Nadine doesn't think he's dead, but somehow under a mysterious influence.

2. Panthera is typically non-combatant.  From her first appearances before costume, her goal has always been to lay low and dig up information about finding her dad.  When you're small and working alone, it's better to avoid conflict.  In the event of a team-up she goes defensive, only landing opportunistic hits.  

3. Nadine eats a lot of food without much discrimination but her favourites include pizza, protein smoothies, steak, mangoes with any kind of dessert, spicy seafood, and chowders of all sorts.  Food with bright colours also get a special note in her book.

4. Panthera has trouble with endurance, both in cat-form and during confrontations.  In the vent of a one-on-one, her focus is to end it quickly.

5. Nadine has discovered the looking at fossils, cave art, and other palaentology related items puts her in a new trance-like state.  It's almost like her brain is trying to remember something she shouldn't have forgotten.  (It is unknown wether Panthera is also affected by artifacts)  History and Biology are her favourite subjects.

6. Panthera is more a midset than a separate entity from Nadine, since all Nadine has to do is put on a suit.  Each of the cat forms she uses have different qualities that she can use, as stated here: artfight.net/character/153431.…   Leopard/stealth, Puma/JUMP, Tiger/Stronk and swim, Dinobastis/Speedy, Intimidaty, Better-Watch-Your-Cave-y.  Panthera has to revert back to human between cat forms.  Panthera cannot use Dinobastis as-of-yet.

7. Nadine likes the idea of having a large property to grow food on.  She is low-key troubled about the food bills, and (in what spare time she gives herself) she does research on farming methods and self-sustainability.

8. Panthera uses her evening for training- not only for endurance, but also to keep an ear out for information.  Her bag is stocked with protein bars so she can refuel after a particularly difficult transformation.  She knows what Owen Malthus intended her to be, but she doesn't want him to have access to every cat form.  She also knows that if she doesn't train each end every one of them, Malthus could catch her unawares and unprepared.  So she dodges gang members and media sensationalists while trying to keep fit.  She is on the verge of attaining her tiger form.  She has absolutely no idea how Dinobastis will ever happen, given the difficulty she has with tiger.
