Description

Well, I no longer have that one program that made it nice and easy to export as a .gif.  I animated this in FireAlpaca, and shoved it into photoshop to export as a GIF.  I can't view it as an animation on my mac, so it does look rather slow.  might have t fix the photoshop file.

This is as far as I can get without input- does it need more exaggeration/extremes frames?  How is the follow through?  What about foreshortening?  Do the volumes change?   etc...

My inspiration is a knight throwing something like an axe.

Idk what you're using as reference, and it is hard to critique with the slow speed that I know you already want to fix, but here's my piece:

The windup looks too much like a rewind of the throw. I would suggest leading the windup by the elbow and have the hand trail behind it some, it'll give it a sorta whip-like movement that will look less mechanical. And once it's sped up it may look good to have a bit more of a hold when the arms fully raised. Also add a bit of lag on the head at the beginning of the throw, so the arm leads the motion and the head follows after. At the end of the throw the hand is in the same position for 2 frames before completing the follow through. Moving it will help the flow through. Track the hand/fingers after he releases the ball, the arcs seem great until around there.

Your anatomy looks pretty spot on to me and you got some great arcs for the windup and throw. I look forward to seeing how this evolves :)
